Актуальность исследуемой темы обусловлена ростом проблем в наступлении беременности, а также увеличением обращений по вопросам фертильности. В статье рассмотрены работы зарубежных и отечественных авторов, посвященные исследованию психологических аспектов бесплодия и обоснованию данного явления. Представлена классификация форм бесплодия. Характеризуются личностные профили женщин с бесплодием, этиология которого неизвестна. Психогенная теория бесплодия сфокусирована на этиологии его причин. Теория жизненного кризиса сосредоточена на психологических последствиях бесплодия. Биопсихосоциальная теория бесплодия соответствует модели стресса и преодолению трудностей и рассматривает данную проблему в комплексе переплетения биологических, социальных и психологических аспектов. Психофизиологический механизм репродуктивной сферы, объединяет психологию, физиологию, мотивационно-потребностную сферу и ценностно-смысловые образования. Обзор исследований показал, что изменения в понимания психологии бесплодия и консультирования при бесплодии носят ключевой характер.
