<abstract xml:lang="en">

The paper deals with the contribution to group activities as a type of employees’ civic behaviour in an organization. This type of organizational civic behaviour focuses on the activities and development of the work group as a collective entity. The article defines group’s activity contribution and highlights its key attributes. A competent assessment of business and socio-psychological situations that are important for the group, timely and well-founded proposals, initiative and specific actions are group’s activity key characteristics. A comparative analysis was conducted, aiming at the contribution to group activity with terminologically similar constructs, as well as with some dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior that are directed at the group, division or the organization. This analysis has established distinctive features of group’s activity contribution that show it as an independent construct. In conclusion, some theoretical and practical implications are made, as well as some important issues for further research are addressed.
