The article describes and analyzes the following linguistic fact: in the texts of a single author, a regular insertion of "КАК" is found, which grossly violates the literary norm. In this regard, the task of linguistic comprehension of this phenomenon is set, which is solved by continuous sampling of anomalous cases and their subsequent analysis. This analysis showed that the contexts with the anomalous insertion of "КАК" are homogeneous and represent a variant of the literary construction "КАКОЙ for whom/what». The description of the semantic structure of this construction allowed us to conclude that the insertion of "КАК" into it is quite motivated. The superfluous "КАК" performs the functions of lexical explication of certain components of a construction and its isolation, thereby increasing the communicative rank of the meaning expressed by it. In this regard, the question of why these possibilities are not in demand by the literary language is further discussed. In conclusion, the question of whether such an anomaly is present outside the texts of this author is examined, and the position on the necessity and importance of studying negative linguistic data is confirmed.
